In their Rally Argentina preview the organizers of the race have made a note on two key novelties of forth stage of World Rally Championship.
First of them is new spectacular super special stage in Cordoba city which will open the race on Thursday evening. Second novelty is that the routs of Rally Argentina have returned to north of Cordoba where world rally events hadn` t been held for more than 10 years, so the most part of race roads will be new for the most of participants.
In its turn the crew of Eurolamp World Rally Team has made a note on some differences between Argentinian and Mexican race conditions.
«First of all it is important to focus on the different temperatures. In contrast to Mexican heat, forecasters predict that air temperature in Argentina during the race will be only +15C, without sharp drop and with rain. Moreover the roads of Rally Argentina are more gravel than dirt. So we expect that there will be less dust on the routs. And one more important thing is that though Rally Argentina routs run in mountains, there will not be such high altitudes as in Mexico. And the race roads will be more wide and rapid», — told Vladimir Korsia, Eurolamp WRT co-driver.
The main part of Rally Argentina program contains 365 kilometers of 18 special stages. The total distance of the race, including the road sections, is 1333 kilometers.
